A workshop was produced in Havana as a co-production with the The Consejo Nacional de las Artes Escenicas of Cuba. This landmark workshop was the first ever joint artistic effort between Cubans and Americans. Cuban artists performed in English. American and Cuban directors and choreographers worked together to mount the production. Necessary licenses were obtained from the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Export Administration and the Treasury Department. The workshop was featured on NBC Nightly News, NY 1, Reuters, Newsday and the Miami Herald.
